style=\"text-align: justify;\">La Corte de Apelaciones de Temuco confirm\u00f3 este mi\u00e9rcoles la prisi\u00f3n preventiva de\u00a0\u00c1lex Smith, por considerar que su libertad constituye un\u00a0riesgo para el \u00e9xito de la investigaci\u00f3n y para la seguridad de la sociedad, esto en el marco del juicio por la\u00a0Operaci\u00f3n Hurac\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El cambio de medida cautelar lo solicit\u00f3 el abogado defensor privado\u00a0V\u00edctor Contreras, quien buscaba cambiar la cautelar a arresto domiciliario lo que fue denegado por el tribunal de alzada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00c1lex Smith Leay, &#8220;el profesor&#8221;, es sindicado como el\u00a0creador de el software &#8220;Antorcha&#8221;\u00a0que, supuestamente, ten\u00eda la capacidad de intervenir\u00a0conversaciones de celular, herramienta con la cual\u00a0se apoy\u00f3 Carabineros\u00a0para operar.\u00a0Todo termin\u00f3 siendo falso.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Smith est\u00e1 imputado por\u00a011 delitos\u00a0de asociaci\u00f3n il\u00edcita, obstrucci\u00f3n a la investigaci\u00f3n y falsificaci\u00f3n de instrumento p\u00fablico en la fallida Operaci\u00f3n Hurac\u00e1n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El caso signific\u00f3 la imputaci\u00f3n infundada a miembros de la CAM y otros dirigentes mapuche, generando una\u00a0crisis en Carabineros\u00a0con la destituci\u00f3n del General Jefe de Inteligencia Nacional,\u00a0Gonzalo Blu\u00a0y la plana mayor de inteligencia de La
